How we work

What it is actually like here

Not a values poster. These are the working habits you would join on your first week.

Engineers own outcomes

You are not handed tickets to close. You get the problem, the client context, and the authority to decide how it is solved.

Senior people, small teams

Projects run with two to five engineers, not thirty. Your work is visible, your decisions carry, and nothing disappears into a process.

Real review culture

Every change is read by another engineer. Feedback is direct and technical, never personal, and it is how people here get sharper.

Learning is paid work time

Certifications, courses, and conference tickets are covered. Time to go deep on a new stack is scheduled, not squeezed into your evenings.

Written over verbal

Decisions are documented so nobody depends on having been in the room. It is what makes flexible hours and remote work actually function.

Ship, then improve

We put working software in front of users early and refine from real feedback, rather than polishing in private for six months.

Benefits

What we offer in return

The things that make a job sustainable rather than a sprint. Every item here applies to every engineer on the team.

See open roles

Competitive salary, reviewed twice a year

Pay is benchmarked against the local senior market and revisited every six months, not only when someone threatens to leave.

Flexible hours and hybrid working

Core overlap hours for collaboration, and the rest of your day is yours to shape around how you actually work best.

Health coverage for you and your family

Medical cover that extends to your spouse and children, with outpatient care included from your first day.

Annual learning budget

A dedicated budget per engineer for courses, certifications, books, and conference attendance, with time set aside to use it.

Modern hardware, your choice

Pick the machine and peripherals you are fastest on. Replaced on a fixed cycle, not when it finally dies.

Paid leave that people actually take

Annual leave, sick leave, and public holidays, with a culture where taking your days off is normal and expected.

Direct client exposure

You will sit in on client calls and demos. Engineers here explain their own work rather than having it relayed for them.

Clear progression

A published engineering ladder with written expectations at each level, so promotion is a checklist rather than a favour.

Hiring process

Five steps, about two weeks

No unpaid take-home projects and no ghosting. You will always know where you stand.

  1. 01

    Application review

    3 to 5 days

A engineer reads your application, not a keyword filter. You get a decision either way, and we tell you what happened.

  2. 02

    Intro conversation

    30 minutes

A relaxed call about your background, what you want to build next, and what the role actually involves day to day.

  3. 03

    Technical discussion

    60 to 90 minutes

We walk through real problems from our work and code you have written. No whiteboard puzzles, no algorithm trivia.

  4. 04

    Team and founder chat

    45 minutes

Meet the people you would work with, and ask us anything about the company. This runs both directions by design.

  5. 05

    Offer

    2 to 3 days

A written offer with the salary, level, and expectations spelled out, plus time to consider it without pressure.

Nothing here fits you right now?

Send us your CV anyway. We keep strong applications on file and reach out first when a matching role opens, which is how several of our engineers joined.
