Fit
Where .NET earns its place
Modern .NET is fast, open source and cross-platform, but it is still the right answer for a particular kind of product. These are the three where we reach for it first.
Enterprise line-of-business systems
Many roles, complex rules, long life.
ERPs, CRMs, HR and operations systems where the business logic is the product and the application will be maintained for a decade. Strong typing and Clean Architecture keep that logic testable and readable as it grows.
ASP.NET Core · EF Core · SQL Server
Financial and regulated products
Audit trails, precision, identity.
Mortgage origination, trading and exchange platforms, insurance and lending workflows. Decimal-safe arithmetic, role-based data permissions, activity logging and enterprise SSO are native to the platform rather than bolted on.
Azure AD · OIDC · Audit logging
High-throughput services
Backends serving many clients at scale.
REST and gRPC services, microservices behind a gateway, and long-running background processing. ASP.NET Core is among the fastest mainstream frameworks, and the async model handles concurrency without heroics.
gRPC · Microservices · Docker · Kubernetes
Engineering
What we build with .NET
ASP.NET Core applications and APIs
Clean Architecture solutions with EF Core, REST and gRPC endpoints, async throughout, versioned and documented with OpenAPI. Built for the second year of development, not just the first release.
Enterprise identity and access
ASP.NET Core Identity, IdentityServer and Duende, Azure AD integration over SAML 2.0 and OIDC, and role-based access control for multi-tenant systems where each tenant’s permissions are isolated.
SQL Server at scale
Schema design, indexing and query tuning for databases handling millions of records, with EF Core used where it helps and raw SQL where it does not. Reporting that stays fast as data grows.
Angular and Blazor frontends
Angular with TypeScript, RxJS and NgRx for large enterprise interfaces: modular components, complex data grids, real-time reporting dashboards. Blazor when the team is C#-first.
Cloud and DevOps
Docker containers on Azure App Service, AKS, AWS ECS or your own hosts. CI/CD on GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, infrastructure as code, and multi-tenant cloud architectures maintained for maximum uptime.
Integrations
Twilio Voice, Stripe, CRMs, data providers and legacy systems, isolated behind interfaces so a vendor change does not ripple through the application.
Applications
.NET systems we have shipped
Enterprise backend infrastructure
Production enterprise applications scaled at IBEX Global on .NET Core with Clean Architecture and EF Core: high-throughput REST APIs, optimised microservices and SQL Server at millions of records.
Digital asset exchange
Decoin: a cryptocurrency exchange with spot trading, copy trading and staking, on Angular and ASP.NET Core with blockchain architecture and cryptographic requirements.
Mortgage origination platform
Full-stack ASP.NET work on loan-origination workflows and the domain rules lending applications are examined against.
Custom CRM and ERP systems
Enterprise CRMs and ERPs delivered at AsianSol leading a team of 20+, on C# .NET, MVC and SQL Server with React and Angular frontends.
Twilio voice call management
Call-management features on the Twilio Voice API in C#, delivered on schedule and within the agreed scope.
Multi-tenant identity
Role-based access control for multi-tenant identity management, with strict per-tenant permission isolation, on enterprise .NET platforms.
Working together
Three ways to start
Most .NET engagements begin as one of these. We will say which fits, including when the right answer is to keep and modernise what you have.

C# and .NET questions we get asked
Is .NET a good choice for a new product, or only for enterprises?
Both. ASP.NET Core is open source, cross-platform and fast, and it runs in Docker on Linux like anything else. It is the right choice when you want strong typing, a mature ORM, first-class Azure integration, or when your organisation already runs Microsoft infrastructure and identity. It is a poor choice only if your team has no C# experience and no plan to hire it.
What is Clean Architecture and why do you use it?
It separates business rules from frameworks and databases so the core of the application does not depend on ASP.NET, Entity Framework or SQL Server. The practical benefit is that you can change the database, swap a web framework version, or test business logic without spinning up infrastructure. We have used it on production enterprise systems for years and it is the reason those systems are still maintainable.
.NET Core or .NET Framework?
Modern .NET (8 and later) for anything new. .NET Framework only matters if you are maintaining an existing application built on it, and even then the question is when to migrate, not whether. We have migrated Framework applications to modern .NET incrementally, keeping the system in production throughout.
How do you handle authentication in enterprise .NET applications?
ASP.NET Core Identity for application accounts; IdentityServer or Duende for issuing tokens; Azure AD, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect for enterprise single sign-on. We have implemented SAML 2.0 and OIDC against Azure AD and built role-based access control for multi-tenant identity where each tenant’s permissions are isolated.
Can .NET handle high-throughput APIs?
ASP.NET Core is among the fastest mainstream web frameworks in independent benchmarks. We have built high-throughput REST APIs and gRPC services for enterprise backends, with async throughout, response caching and SQL Server tuned for millions of records. Throughput problems in .NET applications are almost always database or serialisation problems, and both are fixable.
Angular, Blazor or React on the frontend?
Angular when you want a full framework with TypeScript, RxJS and strong conventions, which suits large enterprise teams. Blazor when your team is C#-first and wants to avoid a JavaScript build entirely. React when you are hiring from the broadest pool or sharing components with other products. We have shipped all three against .NET backends.
How do you deploy .NET applications?
Docker containers to Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS ECS or your own hosts, with CI/CD on GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. We have deployed and maintained multi-tenant cloud architectures on both Azure and AWS, and we hand over infrastructure as code rather than a set of manual steps.
Can you integrate telephony, payments and third-party services?
Yes. We have built Twilio Voice call-management features in C#, Stripe billing, and integrations against CRMs and financial data providers. Integration code is isolated behind interfaces so a vendor change does not ripple through the application.
Do you work in regulated industries?
Financial services and legal technology most often. We have built a mortgage origination platform on ASP.NET, a digital asset exchange on ASP.NET Core with cryptographic requirements, and audit-logged enterprise systems. We design for the audit before it happens: activity logs, role-based data permissions and traceable changes.
How do you approach an existing .NET codebase?
Audit first: solution structure, dependency versions, test coverage, the slowest queries and the riskiest modules. Then a prioritised plan that keeps the system shipping while we modernise it. We have taken over production enterprise applications and scaled them without a rewrite; that is usually the right answer.
