The challenge
REI Op-Center had been through two developers on an early-stage SaaS product and still had no workable architecture. Features were not shipping. The product had to let customers import tens of thousands of rows of real-estate data and then sort, filter and manipulate records numbering in the millions.
What we did
Took over the codebase and, in the client’s words, “immediately took over and began delivering the features we needed.” As trust built, took ownership of the architecture and rebuilt the system on AWS: Laravel and Vue with Lambda for burst processing, an import pipeline designed for batch volume, and a data model built to be queried at millions of rows rather than a demo dataset.
The outcome
The product now imports tens of thousands of rows per upload and handles records in the millions. The co-founder’s public endorsement: “Our product wouldn’t be possible without Muhammad.”
