The challenge
The Al Mahdi Community Center of Toronto needed one app for its members: accurate daily prayer times, an events calendar with booking, donations, membership and service forms, religious education enrolment, and a way to watch live streams, all with notifications members would actually keep enabled.
What we did
Built in React Native on a Node.js and Firebase backend. Prayer times with calendar and countdown, an events calendar with date-based booking, secure Stripe donations and sadaqa, membership and service forms, Darul Quran learning with age-based levels and fees, live YouTube streaming, and push notifications for prayers and news.
The outcome
Published on Google Play and in use by the community. The listing is public and linked from this page.
